I'm Ruben Bijker, an independent software engineer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have more than 15 years of experience designing, building and running websites and web applications for companies. I work as a web developer, a software engineer and a UX/UI designer.
What I do
I take projects from first idea to production and keep them running: design, development, hosting and monitoring, all with one accountable person. I use AI tools to write much of the code, and I read and take responsibility for every change. The speed comes from the tools. The direction comes from the years.
